British Embassy Moscow

The British Embassy in Moscow represents the British Government in its relations with the Russian Government and promotes the range of British interests in Russia through broadly based cooperation which is of benefit to both countries.
 
The HM Ambassador directs the work of the Embassy. She is the representative of the UK in Russia.
 
The Political Section of the Embassy promotes bilateral political relations between UK and Russia and works closely with the Russian Government to address international issues of concern.
 
The Trade and Investment Section support British exports to, and investment in, Russia, providing a wide range of services to both British and Russian businesses.
 
The Consular Section provides advisory services and help to British citizens in Russia. It issues British passports, and registers births and deaths of British subjects in Russia.
 
The Visa Section issues entry clearances for foreign nationals wishing to travel to the UK. It provides advice on all aspects of UK immigration requirements.
 
The Press and Public Affairs Section provides information about Britain and British Government policies to the media and to the general public. It conducts Public Diplomacy and also administers scholarship programmes in conjunction with the British Council.
 
The Climate Security, Science and Global Threat Reduction Section aims to promote science and technology co-operation between the UK and the Russian Federation and to facilitate technology transfer and innovation.
 
The Defence Section promotes links between the armed forces in both countries.
